The driving drum is the main component of the belt conveyor transmission power. The structure has steel plate welding structure and cast steel or cast iron structure;
According to the load-bearing capacity, it is divided into three types: light, medium and heavy.
1.Light bearing aperture: 80~100mm 2.Medium bearing aperture: 120~180mm3.Heavy bearing aperture: 200~220mm;
The surface forms include steel smooth roller, rubber-coated/cast rubber roller, etc. The main disadvantage of steel smooth roller is that the surface friction coefficient is small, and it is generally used on short-distance conveyors with low ambient humidity. The main advantage of rubber-coated/cast rubber rollers is the large surface friction coefficient, which is suitable for conveyors with high humidity and long transport distances.
The bend pulley is used to change the running direction of the conveyor belt (180°, 90° and <45°) or to compress the conveyor belt to increase the wrap angle with the transmission roller, below the belt ,mainly use smooth rubber surface .The shaft should be a forging, and non-destructive testing should be carried out and an inspection report should be provided.The bend pulley and the drive pulley are generally used in combination.

For pulleys with complex forces, large loads, and heavy working conditions, cast welding structures and expansion sleeve connections are used. Compared with traditional domestic rollers, this type of roller has the following main features:

The circumferential weld position is set at the position with the lowest stress and the least number of cycles.
(2) The key technology of single-sided welding and double-sided forming is adopted to ensure the quality of the weld.
(3) The expansion sleeve connection is adopted between the drum hub and the shaft, which not only solves the key connection stress concentration problem and the manufacturing and installation technical difficulties of the axial double keyway that have existed for many years, but also realizes overall tightening and eliminates the internal stress of the welding.
